How about that .... a great start to the challenge. Just lost a bit on an Aussie horse race but then won a lot more on the Mv vs Newcastle soccer game ip ..... Bot set up for the horse lays ..... might go surfing

Okay got two greyhound selections set up in the bot as well ... which leads me on to yesterday where prior to this new challenge .... things started off poorly.
With the greyhound lay selections (apart from the ones I guess at) there are a couple selected based on specific criteria yet with yesterday none fitted (so I did like any normal person would do) made two fit ... yep you guessed it they both won (oh the woes of an amateur dealing with losses ) .....Then later on I layed a horse quite large which I only noticed inrunning are the types of ones which I like to to avoid ..... with it's odds getting lower and lower (ir) .... what do you do get out as best you can or let it run ..... decided to let it run and it duely won ....... another one was in the football where one team had a red card for quite a long period. Inplay I bet on one more goal and ended up duely losing a lot ..... fascinating things red cards in working out how both teams react to it ie: all out attack or protect the current scoreline .... on this occasion I got it wrong and paid big time. Luckily in this morning's soccer match (red card in it) Melbourne Victory scored another goal to make it 5-0 but then I also won some more on under 5.5 goals when I felt things were flattening out .... Enough rambling for today .... |

Undern mate, you obviously have money to burn but I think in order to achieve a challenge or get anywhere near finishing it, you need to change your mindset. If you can convince yourself that THIS 1k is ALL the money you have to bet with, nothing else, just this last 1k, then you might take it more seriously thus think out the bets a little better or research them a little more.
But good luck to you anyway, your threads do make for interesting reading. GL mate. |

gawdalmighty - yep you are correct with what you say. One thing for sure it is a lot lot harder when you open yourself up to posting up all your bets .... I could simply remain anonymous and simply when and whatever amounts I like and noone would know - but by doing these challenges (in public) I am hoping (more in hope that learning) that it will finally click in my head what needs to be done .... iamhewho - well done on your double bank in a day thread on footy forum. No it is not an all-in challenge although I do do them occasionally as mini-challenges .... |

Sliced, the thing i find "enjoyable" about Underns challenges is his brutal honesty, he puts up every bet he makes, and he doesnt take himself too seriously while doing it.
As for saying his challanges are "pretend challanges", how can you say something so ludicrous when all his bets are posted? If my earlier reply was one of the "saddest" things you have ever read, may i suggest you try reading a bit more? |

Seriously have to have a good look at myself in the mirror ....... okay I am still looking as ruggedly handsome as ever ... but boy I am doing a good attempt at giving money away. Especially after a nice start on the Aussie footy where did it all go wrong .... bot was set up and I was heading out for the day. The problem was that where I went I had access to a laptop computer and proceeded to bet on anything and everything without due care or attention (I didn't watch any of the racing) ..... at least I watched half of the football. Many of the bot selections ended up being outside the set odds ranges which didn't help. Wasted money left right and centre and to top it all off in the last bet I had on a greyhound race ..... simply to pinch a few extra pounds I layed a 16/1 greyhound (yep I know) while the other 5 Dogs were around 4.5 to 5.5 odds. Thought easy money .... .... yep you know the result.So if I had simply let the bot get on with it .... it would have a been a small profit but profit none the less but again I get involved when not fully focused in what I am doing ... Getting a bit sick and tired of losing too much too quckly so thought I'd try something different and bet as if I only had £100 and see how far that got me .... not a bad attempt considering how many bets I made and the mini-bank involved ... only went in once (I think from memory and that being lay of AV in the footy although did green up ip) .... amazing what you can do when you focus hard .... especially the stuff on the Aussie greyhounds this morning. ... although it was a very poor decision by the ref .... wonder what happens if a goalie punches someone in the face accidently while trying to punch the ball clear or big Peter Crouch doing a bicycle kick only to end up kicking someone in the face (like what happened over the weekend) .....

Challenge Summary:
After the kick in the teeth from last night's football I again tried to continue betting with low stakes to win low amounts but simply got nowhere. Well actually I did get somewhere ... I think from memory winning around £150 profit but then losing it all in a couple more bets ..... I thought stuff this I'd give it one final push (bank was back around £350 at the time) with some heavy hitting (some big swings up and down) but eventually came out with a nice profit via the big lay of PSG in the footy (greened up partly when they were down 0-1 and later on progressively when 1-1) ..... if this bet had lost it would have been game over for this challenge ... Busy tomorrow .... so might set up the bot.
