Don't see much written on here about this. Should be a useful weapon in any punter's armoury. Can be great fun too. No commission to pay and industry spreads can be very tight, giving even the guessers out there a fair crack of the whip.

Starting Bank  1000.

Two tonight catch my eye. Both with SpEx.

BUY time of 1st Match goal @ 38 for 1 in Southend v LO
SELL Milan team performance @ 17 for 1

spreadbetting is fun. on the exchange we would be even able to trade the spreads. too bad there is not much liquidity on the betfair-spread-markets.
... and with the dismissal of the old site, there will be NO spreadmarkets anymore on betfair.

I used to run a spread betting advice service a few years ago. I had some success but that was when there were 5 or 6 spread betting firms and the spreads were a bit tighter (eg booking index spread only 3 points rather than 4 as they are now).

I still maintain the database/system for my own occasional use.

If you are interested the website is still there at www.soccerspreads.com

If I have time I will generate the spreads for this weekend.

For what it's worth, spread betting is very poor value
regards 'trading'. If you have a decent bet, it is best
to just bet before kickoff and let it run. The spread
firms don't reduce their 'spread' despite the fact that
the contest clock is running down. For instance the
spread on corners is 0.5 and remains 0.5 despite the
total corners reducing by .25 every 8 mins. I don't
suppose I have explained that very well so I hope it
is clear what I mean.Sad

I agree. I never trade on spreads. I just bet pre kick off and let the bet run to a conclusion.

if we had more liquidity here, trading would be great on the exchange. "trading" with bookies is not clever.

MU 25, another loss of 52.5pts , might have better luck guessing than thinking things thru, Johnny?

Kenilworth...you got me... good question Happy

lanza 'educated' guesser Cool Wink or statistical guesser maybe then on my main sports.  lol.

when guessing in sports i have no idea about i usually seem to do my brains.  Take today....Knowing nothing about horse racing, i thought i could reduce my next weeks premium charge by betting the favs here in the horse racing i was watching and laying them at quack.  Didnt work..lol... i ended up fooking winning here and losing on daq and have a nasty pc coming next week at the moment as a result.  Was tempted to roll up but was so cheesed off - i finished and will try to do this in the sports i know something about.

Yeah, ok. It must be a problem when you need to lose money to
reduce your premium charges. How do you sleep at nights with
that problem?
