However, i use them on the horses and it works well : £2 on at 10 (say) and then a keep-bet LAY at evens for £2 is my practice at the moment.

not a lot different, in overall outcome, from placing the full e/w bet - at a cost of £4
-so kind of BIG saving on outlay you've got the win (minus the tiny lay) if the thing goes on to win : and, well if a horse places, there a goodish (depending on how the race was run, whether it was a close finish or not) chance its IR price will have gone below 2, and voila, you've your stake back |
