Found a sports documentary on the VIMEO website that I enjoyed and was wondering whether I could download it to my own computer for keeps, and to watch offline.

The website itself has a 'Download' option, offering to do it in an .MP4 and/or .M4V format.

I use an Apple MacBook these days and gather that .M4V is itself an Apple developed format, so I'm assuming (maybe wrongly) this should be a straightforward matter.

Don't know enough about the .MP4 to know whether this is a better or worse option.

Another question..... once downloaded on the computer,  is it possible to then copy it on a DVD that would enable other persons to watch easily?

Obviously all these are all completely hypothetical technical questions as I would not wish to do anything in breach of  any copyrights  that got me deported to the USA to share the next cell with Abu McKinnon.

I would direct you to Google search as that is the only thing I would do.

Some potential questions:

"better quality mp4 m4v"

"burning mp4 file to dvd"

"burning m4v file to dvd"

Your best option is to download the .MP4 file and convert it to PAL or NTSC MPEG2 Format so as to be able to write a DVD
