walked into a shop i'd never been before, first thing i did was asked the cashier if they guarantee prices to which she said "yes".
backed a horse and took the price even though it was much bigger on betfair because price was guaranteed.
horse won at a bigger sp, but the cashier said that she meant by a guaranteed price that "we give you the price on the slip" rather than what it actually means.
she admits to telling me they guarantee prices albeit a misunderstanding but they refuse to pay out at the bigger sp.
am i entitled to be paid at sp and how do i go about getting paid the sp price?

fwiw i would have taken sp if i knew they didnt guarantee prices but no way of proving this in the argument.

Only some certain online bookmakers I believe offer those 'guaranteed prices' ie if the sp is bigger we will pay out at those odds, and probably only to new customers. Shops will never offer this so it's a case of crossed wires between you and the cashier, in which I take the cashier as been in the right because she knows, or should know, that only certain online shops offer this incentive. So obviously to the cashier that is what he/she thought you meant by taking a 'guaranteed price'.

On the positive side though at least your bet won.
