Anyone else notice recently betfair becoming really slow loading markets, not loading correctly etc? Saying a bet isnt placed then when you place it turns out its taken two bets aswell?
Also my account not showing correct exposures and amount...

Is this just me or anyone else?

Always been that way Sad Just have to repeatedly click on a market or the 'my bets' tab until it eventually deigns to load

I've generally found the site okay (i've been on here most days for the last 9 years).

However I have also noticed the site becoming sluggish in the last week or so. There was a recent Firefox update and I wonder if this is the cause. Are any of you using Firefox?
Report Frank August 24, 2012 11:36 AM BST
Firefox or Chrome, it makes no difference.

Shocking that there are so many long-time users complaining about their site experience.  Like Gin I've been on here pretty much every day for over 10 years and it's astonishing that things are so bad.  Betfair really are the Ryanair of betting, I can't think of any other site I visit that so regularly gives a poor user experience.

I am sitting here with a list of bets to place and there are markets not loading, the SP option not displayed in some markets, selections staying in the betslip after I have tried to remove them, bets endlessly 'processing', it really does annoy me and I can see why a new user would get fed up and leave.

Betfair really should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, I am not moaning about charges or commission either, just the simple mechanics of placing a bet.

The site has been rubbish over the last few days.Betfair must know it but not one word to explain whats going on.Hopeless trying to bet inplay on football.Let's have some explanation and for goodness sake get it sorted!!!!!

I'm getting the "loading" freeze myself and find the only way to get round it is to refresh the page and navigate to the requested market.

the site is actually getting worse, it cost me 300 yesterday just because **** wouldn't load and multiple bets placed. also when i change the odds of an unmatched bet it keeps the original bet at the original odds as well as the altered one, then sometimes it wont let me cancel unmatched bets and the page slows to a crawl, leaving in play betting very dangerous for me now.
Report Lamela10 August 27, 2012 7:16 PM BST
razz i've noticed those problems.
I changed to the new improved BETA betfair and seems to work, is this their way of forcing us that way? Confused
Report razz August 27, 2012 11:41 PM BST
could be but beta has many bugs as well, i absolutely hate beta for in play betting, as you cant cancel bets with 1 click. also the last time i was using it, the pages would become unresponsive when i tried to place a bet, or even alter one. when this happens i refresh but the page is still unresponsive, making me have to open up a new tab, going to betfair, finding the market and wait for the page to load. the whole process is a death trap for me atm Sad

They've driven all the punters away, the US Open tennis is quiet as anything.

Beta is terrible and everytime on every computer/devise you have to opt out of it. And then next time you come back you have to opt out again. Its so slow.

Why didn't they keep the exchange simple and have a seperate brand for their sportsbook and then hedge onto here? Its an absolute mess the way they have decided to do it. Far too complicated for any new users if they can even find what they are looking for.

I opted out once on the new site and have never been forced back onto it, except strangely for the forum.
I'm not a techie, so can you or anybody else explain to me why we don't all seem to be having the same usage experiences ?

FAFH,  its when you delete cookies and then return to Betfair that you are taken to the Beta site.  You probably haven't deleted cookies recently.
