After yesterdays outage i would some clarification of how keeps bets work as Betfair did not apply the same rules they have done on previous occasions.
If you take a couple of instances this is how they have worked in the pasted.
1)  In a foot ball match if you place a bet with keep on before the start of a match that bet will be carried over into play and at no time in the match will it be cancelled by betfair - So even if a goal goes in that bets will stay in the market.
2)  If you take Golf any bets placed before the off with keep on they will stay in the market right up until the conclusion of the event 4 days later unless matched.

The problem i have is that on previous occasions when there has been outages what has happened is that any bets with keep on are not deleted from the market when the site resumes after a outage, but all bets that were placed "in running" were deleted.
Yesterday all bets were deleted from the market whether they had keep on or not.
So can someone (preferably a Betfair customer rep) confirm exactly what the rules going forward are to be.

The rules were changed a while (at least 6 months) ago.
Keep bets are also cancelled during an outage now, just like ordinary bets always have been.

That might not always be the case Eddie. My understanding is that they are only cancelled if there has been a significant change in prices when the site becomes active again.

So in the case of Man City v Southampton they would have been cancelled but if the site came back up and the game was only 1 minute old (and no goals had been scored of course) they might not of cancelled them.
