Looking at the football markets, I've found 515 markets which Betfair are quoting fixed odds for, with 2510 selections to bet on.

Of these 2510 selections, only 115 have higher odds offered than the exchange! Over 95% of the time, their odds are worse than the exchange. Even if we take the full 5% commission into account, the fixed odds service is only better for 196 selections. So it's still worse over 92% of the time.

(BTW none of these selections were arbs, I am just comparing the best back odds available)

Their offer to try and get mugs to use their site today was quite humorous. If Hoy AND pendleton miss out on gold today they will refund bets up to £50. Pendleton was 1.19 and Hoy 1.4

I make the odds of that not happening 6.26 x 3.5 = 21.91

1.19* 1.4 = 1.67 = 60% CHANCE they both win gold

40% chance they both fail  = 6/4
