None, but all of them are positive for a bookmaker and for bf's bottom line...
Why shd a bookmaker tolerate a lot of small winners providing little to no liquidity and draining the coffers of the company's regular fun bettors? They want incumbent players winning and paying them a high proportion of their profits in charges and everyone else exchanging money between themselves. The only danger for them is that someone takes the exchange concept and actually implements it. |

2008 cross matching(which I think isnt that liquidity creator)- part of you will complain on this.
1.01 u will be cross matching at far worse odds if betfair stopped doing it. |

okay. Cross matching has got positives and negatives. I remember betfair without it and it worked fine. And if you look deeper betfair are turning off cross matching (especialy on tennis matchs)to create space on market. Look at tennis on grass this week. Absolutely dominated by courtsiders. They are paying betfair 40%,50% of profits and betfair are happy coz they havin their piece of cake. But look at liquidity. Sometimes during 30 seconds biggest bets are 400 GBP. Dont know whats the reason?- summer time? introduced fixed odds? or just my charts are wrong?- maybe tournaments are crap?
Looking for any positieve factor for an exchange in last 5 years (increased numbers of customers on a page year by year?-I dont have this figures) but right know for me fixed odds is creating competition for an exchange after increased premium charge. I cant imagine start of new footbal season now and having fixed odds on all biggest footbal leagues where bets will be shared with fixed odds comapany and where in past even on premier league games we had lack of bets. I cant imagine increasing number of bets right now with it... |
