me and the wife are going up to Edinburgh in May for a few nights.
Any info on what's best to see..and avoid..and again where's best to eat...and avoid.

Whatever takes your fancy from......Edinburgh zoo, with new pandas from China. Royal yacht Britannia. Dynamic Earth. Edinburgh Castle. Princes St gardens. For a drink, go to the Grassmarket area. The two Edinburgh clubs meet in the Scottish cup final on 19th May so good atmosphere that day, and the Edinburgh marathon is on 27th May if you want to watch that.

Chit chat forum would be better than General Betting for replies....had a lovely meal down by the docks(?)/quay/seafront (!) in Leith which was becoming quite gentrified at the time but that was at least 8 yrs ago, so the chef may have changed! Cant remember anything specific that wowed but we saw some art and ate well and just took in the nice 'vibe' of the place.
