You may have noticed that the Community tab in the header of Betfair.com has changed. We want to explain why this has been done, and also to invite your views and comments: therefore, this thread is not locked and you will be able to leave your feedback. All customer posts will be read and considered.
This change is a trial which we have implemented ahead of the upcoming Cheltenham Festival as it allows us to use the tab to promote other key content on Betfair.com.
The Community and the forums within it are still a very valuable part of Betfair.com: there is a link to the Community in the Top Features area of the homepage, and links are still in place on the sports, football and horse racing home pages.
In the coming months, we will be making changes and improvements which will mean forum content will be easier to find, as well as relevant to the pages and markets it is on.

Is this a wind-up? `All customer posts will be read and considered.` Are you saying you haven`t read the innumerable threads across many of the forum categories making clear the feelings of us, your users and paymasters? If you have somehow missed them all, don`t worry, there are 20 or more on the first page of the `site feedback` forum. Or do you think that you can ignore feedback that you don`t like, thinking that if you ask the question enough times you will, somehow, eventually get the `right` answer?
This change is a trial which we have implemented ahead of the upcoming Cheltenham Festival as it allows us to use the tab to promote other key content on Betfair.com. `Key content`? If, by this, you mean `Super Slots` you are displaying a staggering and, quite frankly, an insulting lack of awareness of your clients wishes.

`In the coming months, we will be making changes and improvements which will mean forum content will be easier to find, as well as relevant to the pages and markets it is on.` I refer you to my response to your first paragraph, but you have probably decided to ignore that already.
Am I banned?

Took me ages to find the tab to open the forum. When I did it only fills about a third of the window (Firefox and Chrome the same) I have the strong impression that despite you saying it's "valued" that the forum is being demoted. Rather than sponsoring the rest of the site on the forum, shouldn't you be sponsoring the forum on the rest of the site? For example, I am betting in play while forumites are discussing the game. Why is there not a link from the market page to the thread?

I am surprised you have asked for customer views at this stage.
Personally, if you could get the beta betting site to work as efficiently as the classic site then I would support anything you want to do on slot tabs. I guess its all a matter of priorities.

What has Super Slots got to do with Cheltenham?

It took me ages, to figure out what was wrong, and I didn't find the button till I went into "Sports".
I always open the main site twice, and then set one for "Sports" and one for "Community".
Then I had to mess about with the scaling, but worst of all I now can't monitor my acc balances, whilst on here so have to keep toggling back and forward.
Another useless downgrade imo!
Agree with pretty much everything previous. It took me ages, to figure out what was wrong, and I didn't find the button till I went into "Sports".I always open the main site twice, and then set one for "Sports" and one for "Community".Then I had to me
an excellent innovation ... now when i'm bot testing i'll read an improving book between races instead of wasting my life reading (and writing) stupid posts on the Forum (sorry, Community).

Since this latest "innovation" threads you read are no longer guaranteed to be highlighted. Some are, some aren't.
For those getting the partial screen on Chrome. On a maximised window, I press Ctrl while clicking on community which opens a new tab with the forum only taking up half the screen. I then click restore (box next 'x' in top right corner) then click it again to re-maximise the window and get the forum in full screen mode.

When logging in, if you click on sports link the community link below comes up third from the end and when you click on this it opens up a new window for you.
If you click on Football link instead of Sports then the community link comes up at the end and when you click on it, it does not open up a new window for you but changes the current page you are on. I must admit I find this lack of continuity slightly irksome as I personally always like to have a new window open up, but at the very least it should be consistent.

Homosapiens are supposed to be at the pinnacle of the evolutionary tree and can adapt to the greatest of changes but in reality if you change one thing for them they usually never stop moaning about having to do things differently. The homepage tab and its new window is a great idea and easy to use.

Dear Betfair - as you asked on the forum if the forum users wanted their Tab back instead of the 'superslots' tab - and the answer is a resounding no to 'slots' - will you be putting the forum tab back please?

There wasn't a single respondent who liked the change yet it was not changed back.
What was the point of this thread?
To annoy customers or to make Betfair look like idiots?
It has achieved both.
