LOL, think they will loose lots of punters...

Its a massive own goal. I punt £10 and £20 a go, theres no way I`m paying £1 to put a £10 bet on. Its ridiculous.

Closed mine last week.  They wouldn't even let me withdraw my balance as it was under a tenner, the thieves. Angry  Very short sighted tho' because I now badmouth their business at any opportunity and would be delighted to see them fail.

terrible news, first account I ever had was with them they used to have a great market choice. Very shortsighted

I was told about this the other day by someone trying to withdraw an amount under £10. He was told he couldn't. He went to make a deposit but saw it would cost £1. On phoning customer services he was told if he deposited over £250 there was no charge. So he asked the helpline to deposit the £251 for him and then make the withdrawal. He was told he could not do this as it was considered money laundering. And if he deposited the £250 he would have to bet it through to something like 70% before he could withdraw it. The problem is Sporting Bet limited hs account a long time ago making it next to impossible to actually bet the required sum. The result is he either has to deposit £10 and be charged £1 to simply get his money back. Or forgo the funds in his account.

I know the sums involved are tiny but the whole thing stikes me as outrageous. Certainly wound him up. Thankfully it is a long time since I have had to deal with these clowns and I would suggest others would be well served making it a long time before they have to.

joke outfit - the big scandal here is that no one in the betting press highlights this kind of bad practice.

I sent a tweet to the Sportingbet tweeter, suggesting this was not the greatest idea on the World ...Im still waiting for a reply...

ttt

Thread on the racing forum.  Apparently they have refused to honour an extra place for a punter despite advertising it

well I would take it further, it's the principal not the cash
Report askari1 • March 15, 2012 9:56 PM GMT
They limited me to ten pounds takeout cash after exactly three bets. And now they're introducing a charge for withdrawals? Not what I would call a bookmaker.

Rancid rancid rancid firm.

I cleaned em out good with Six Wives on the A/W some time ago, closed up shop when that charge was introduced. Bellends.

plc too, you'd think they'd care more about their image.
