Except on Horseracing, where you can bet in-play on the website. Bizarre.

Isn't it the case that you bet live on things that are being played in Australia, but not outside of Australia. (No idea on the horseracing bit though).

@UA, no it's if you're physically in AUs (regardless of whether you have a UK account or an Aus one or anything else) you can't bet on the website/API in-play on anything except horseracing.

I remember back in '07 when the law change was supposedly only "12-18 months away" according to BF execs, has any progress been made since then?

By:
Nope. Still atleast 18 months away apparently lol

For the law to change, it needs legislation to pass through both houses of the Federal Parliament.
With the present Labor Government, reliant on anti gambling independents, this will not happen during this term of government. Best case senario, is a change of government at the next election in two years, and a possibility of it being changed two or three years after that. |

The next govt. is likely to be headed by Tony Abbott a far right wing, climate-change denying religious philistine.
No change in sight |

Have'nt heard Abbott being called a phillistine before, tht's a good one RAPS. Very unlikely this law will ever be changed, it was introduced by the previous Liberal government and unfortunately there is no "mileage" for a politician to oppose it.
