Why do you need to know ?
|

By:
100 intial risk - £1 x 7.28 x 100 = stakes risked £728
ROI = 9.26 divide by 726 = 0.0127548 % Some may argue differently re the "RISK"........ |
|
By:
Sorry 1.27548 % ROI
|

Personally i would call the £7.28 the stake and the return £10.43 ,so the profit is 43.26%
As said though , people have different ideas about it |
|
By:
Sorry, but where does the £10.43 come from?
|
|
By:
You biggest Red = £7.28 + £3.15 profit = £10.43
IMO you have 'invested' £7.28 in the market and returned £10.43 Your ROI is 143.26% . |

Ooh i'm confused tobermory. Isn't £3.15 what you've made after 34 trades but 7.28 what you could lose for each individual trade.
Personally, i'd just look at my bf balance and convert my profit into a percentage from that. |

Oh i read it that he was was making all those bets in just 1 market
If he is talking about 34 different markets, with £7.28 risked on each, then his profit is 1.27% |
|
By:
Is 1.27% enough to make it worthwhile?

It would be if you were betting larger sums.
Risk £728 per bet and every 34 markets you'd make £300 . If you could bet on several hundred markets per month then 1.27% profit would be a decent living. Though as you'd be wise to bet only a small % of your bank then you'd need 40k or so to be betting those sort of sums on individual markets without risking too much. So ideally you'd want to have a higher % edge.Particulary as building up from small sums would take very much longer at 1.27% than it would at 4% Anyway the main problem is 34 markets doesn't really tell you if you are likely to return 1.27% on top of your stakes long term . You might make a loss if you tried it over 150 markets, or maybe you'd be 5% up. I think you need to trial it for longer to get a better idea. |

Thank you tobermory I realise 34 trades is a small sample but it is a promising start, it is the most promising line of enquiry that I have come up with for ages.
About 20% of the events in the sport I am concentrating on are suitable and only a handful of events per day so it may take a little while until I know for sure if it is a goer. |
