A couple of times yesterday, (once around 2pm and then again at about 8.40pm) I logged onto a market to see a slightly different interface (see below).
There wasn’t a huge amount of difference – the area around the name of the market/options was slightly changed and also there were no price graph icons to click onto to see price history.
The only other change that I could see was the markets column had no line separating it from the main market page.
After refreshing the browser a couple of times the normal interface returned.
I am assuming that Betfair were somehow trialling a different interface but was slightly worried from a security point of view after the “page re-direction” thing that happened last year.
To be on the safe side I have changed my password again.
As I said, there are only a couple of differences. Specifically, there's no price graph icon and also the sky blue area where the name of the market is (check the picture against a normal open market).

I have always had the sky blue area too but if you compare the pics below you can see that there are slight differences.
The "options" button is usually below the refresh button (but is above it in my picture).
Also, where it normally says “going in play”, instead it says “Change Express View | Full View.
And as I have already said, there were no price graph icons.

Its strange that it came up with the classic view for a couple of minutes twice on the same day. If you look at the address bar on the original picture there is definitely no "&mv=classic" on the end. It must have been a glitch.
On a different matter, I noticed in "my security" that there had been a login from a different ip - 194.116.175.133 on Saturday.
I downloaded some Betfair Data on Saturday and think I remember reading on here previously that this shows up as a different ip. Can anyone confirm this for me?
Cheers.

Were both markets for the snooker shootout tournay? The draw for each round for that tournay (except the draw after round one, I think) were made minutes before the first match of each round was to kick off. Maybe putting up the markets quickly is better on the old interface, or something.

The plus of beta is that it's massively faster than the current site.
A big downside is that bf have screwed up by making the bar displaying teams too big, it means I have to scroll for things like the correct score market where I don't need to currently. I've already sent a message to bf about this, but it seems they don't pay any attention.
My prog that loads bf markets is geared to the old version as well, as beta has different addresses.

The ideal thing for Betfair to do would be to start by making the current site as fast as Beta, without changing anything else, layout/functionality/address-wise.
It only uses about half the memory the current site does.

@TheInvestor2 - just out of interest, why does your market load prog do so from the website and not the API? The latter would seem safer in terms of things changing?
