I currently pay the 40% Premium Charge......

My question is:

If I was to teach my son to be a successful trader on Betfair with his OWN Account, would he be INSTANTLY debited a Premium Charge, at a rate of 40%, from Day 1......?

I am assuming the answer is "Yes", seeing that his Account will be linked to mine.

Next Question:

If I was to die, would he still have to pay the Premium Charge......? i.e. Does he have to notify Betfair that I have died?

Follow Up Question:

If, when he has children, he teaches them to be successful on Betfair, will they have to pay the Premium Charge at the 40% rate......?

Which leads me to the "Subject Title"......

Assuming Adam and Eve, in the Garden of Eden, paid Betfair's Premium Charge and assuming the answers to the previous questions were "YES"......

Surely we should ALL be paying the Premium Charge......?

If Adam and Eve were both paying the Premium Charge, who was losing?

You'd have thought he would have had a bit more luck than that. I suupose that explains why Jesus got cross and turned all those tables over.

Ah, the garden of incest.  Such a lovely story, where would we be without Christian morality?

There are only 3 certainties in life Llama1.

1. DEATH

2. TAXES

3. BETFAIR PREMIUM CHARGES

llama, how will his account be linked to yours? I can see that it might be if you have very specific betting methods.

My understanding is that anyone who shares the same IP address will have their Accounts linked.

On my weekly Premium Charge Statement, my wife's Account gets a mention......

Apart from a few random arcade adventures my wife has never done any Sports Betting......

I guess I should quote here the FIRST sentence that was spoken on Earth......It maybe a clue to where we are heading......

"Madam in Eden, I'm Adam"

Or maybe I should state the obvious......

"Dammit, I'm mad!"

Yeah right. Very subtle switch from 'wife's account' to 'wife' there llama1 . But has any sports bet ever occurred on our wife's account?

On a side note what happens with the funds when a member dies?

If no-one claims it, Betfair deduct £5 a month I believe in dormant account fees.

It was the grave robbers way of getting round any future legislation regarding sleepers. There are no lows to which the city skum will not stoop.

Dammit, I'm mad!......

Was just a subtle illustration that it does not matter in which direction you approach life, the result is the same (As in the phrase above......It does not matter in which direction you read that phrase, you get the same result).

Adam tried to give us all a clue of what was to come (Including the Premium Charge) when he spoke that first sentence to Eve......

"Madam in Eden, I'm Adam"

As "slartibartfast" correctly said......It does not matter in which direction you go in, THREE certain things will happen......

1. DEATH

2. TAXES

3. BETFAIR PREMIUM CHARGES

Ahh Mr Llama1 i see you like your pallindromes.

If you get your son to move out or give him another internet connection he should be fine.

1. is certain but 2. and 3. can be avoided dependng on which direction you choose to go.

Not certain, the most likely scenario.
