Been connecting my PC to a wide screen TV and when I disconnected it seems to have distorted (widened) the display on my PC

is there any easy way to get the display back to normal proportions ?

i am using windows vista on a laptop. thx for any help

Did you try right clicking on your desktop and changing screen resolution?

Try clicking on control panel, click 'Control Panel Home' and under 'Appearance and Personalization' click on 'Adjust screen resolution'. I'm a vista laptop as well so hopefully that will be the same on your laptop.

Screen 1 laptop yes....click on that and lower down under screen res dropdown select recommended resolution

wolf, it sounds like it is sharing the image between two monitors. See if there is an option to get back to single display. As zapper says try clicking on monitor 1.

when i click on number 1 monitor a box comes up but there is no option to alter the resolution
is the graphics display size/shape known as resolution ?
