Although I've gambled for over 15 years, I've only just recently over the last 2 months started every day on the horses. Over the years I've heard that if you are a winning punter that betting sites will either bar you from betting, or put a cap on how much you can bet. So my question is:
With the intention of keeping under the radar while at the same time making regular weekly/fortnightly withdrawals (presuming I am a winning punter), what is the biggest $ value I should bet on a consistent basis per bet (given that I may make 1-6 bets a day)?
I presume that this only applies to bookmaker sites such as betezy.com.au, as TAB wouldn't really care as it's pooled?
Play the game fairly and if they feel you have something to offer them then there's a chance 365 will accommodate you on some sports for substantially more than the figure mentioned by KC.
I'm not suggesting KC hasn't been cut across the board by them but they don't automatically cut all winners. Fact.

If you want to back odds at substantially lower than their true outcome, you will find all bookmakers very accomodating. If you dare to take bets on selections when they are top price and the odds on here are similar (ie you show that you have a clue about betting), you will get shut down very quickly.
All bookmakers in the UK are gutless cowards who only want mugs which are happy to take crap odds. Fact.

Throw in a few mug bets or do as I do and open new accounts in friends names, obviously you have to trust them.
Slybet are by far the worst and 365 a close second in my dealings.
A few things flag you up
Betting well before the event and the price you take usually coming in
Winning money
Betting on minority sports, esp non live and doing well
Sticking to 1 or 2 sports
Crack addict gamblers do the opposite, they back very near to kick off for a instant buzz and are not interested in value, they don't win and back on everything on the T.V and every sport going, ending the day in the online arcade, these are the punters they want, the rest can feck off.

Before the advent of the internet, account betting and information technology advances used by bookmakers to enhance the "winning punter radar" used by all the big bookmaking firms it was possible to use bookmakers if managing a profitable system, still a bit of moving around different shops and sending in runners was required to evade detection.
Bookmakers obtaining accounts with punters is like giving fairies wings and a wand as its a peice of cake to see just what type of punter they have and shut them down as soon as they sail into the black with their accounts.
My advice is unless you just want to lose money quickly, dont use high street bookmakers sevices, full stop.

Agree with many points raised. The quickest way to get limited is either to bet on an obvious rick or bet big on an event that a bookie would not expect to take much (eg minority sport or a football match in a small league). If you bet it early then it becomes that much more apparent to them that you are not a mug.

Yes, vary rarely is betfair the best price once commission is taken into account (unless of course you are backing rank outsiders which are being laid by connections who know it can't win!)
How often do you see top football games which are best priced 102% markets, how could betfair with commission possibly be better

Why would a winning punter give you out his/her strategies on keeping accounts open and max bet reasonably high?
Makes no sense to me as that part of successful betting is equally important as being able to picking winners.
