I have called and they "think" that IP bets will be cancelled before the site's back up.  I've been waiting half an hour for confirmation.

After the "upgrade" tuesday I considered a cheeky post as I think it's fair to say the relationship between "betfair upgrade" and "betfair going down shortly after" is fairly well established and been pointed out in the past before

But it took until Friday to go completely pear shaped. Is this signs of improvement?

How did you guys access the forums during the outage?

The forum wasn't affected.

If you directly went to ://community.bet... (without going to the main betfair page first) you could get to the forum, BUT I don't think you could log in if you weren't already logged in, so the people above were probably logged in since the morning and could post, and the mere plebs who don't spend all day logged in could just read .

If you want to be successful on here, you have to logged into the forum 24/7.

No pain, no gain.

Was there any explanation about what happened? Or maybe because it wasn't a Saturday they didn't feel the need to.

Probably felt it was not worth the effort, given the level of cynicism towards all things Betfair at this time.
