Both were posting on the Leopardstown incident last week, but since between them they constitute two-thirds of my block list, I can't say more than that.
Report acquiesce12 January 5, 2012 1:30 PM GMT
why have you blocked them out of interest ?
Report frimpong January 5, 2012 1:32 PM GMT
how do you know if they're blocked?
Report longbridge January 5, 2012 1:37 PM GMT
@frimpong - unfortunately blocked users' posts still show - just as a brief placeholder saying the post is hidden as the user is on your block list - so it's not possible to forget they exist entirely.

@acquiesce12 - several months of finding nothing of value to me in anything they posted - and in bff's case in particular, that's an awful lot of posts.

fair enough.

Which is really annoying if you have blocked someone because their posts destroy the continuity of the thread. We hope you are watching, forum designers!

Came out the greyhound research data mine some time ago beaten by the consistancy of graders and tracked raced dogs in tight 10 spot time bands that can get rock faces of trends knocked off by seasonal track variance to revel as a strengthened racing analyist in the wonderful world of horse racing.

The plain and simple truth is that horse racing with its massive variance in track, distance, going, jockeys, weights, allownces avails itself to the better reward for form rating.

Haven't a clue what any of that first paragraph meant BFF. (Do you actually read your posts before you press the 'post reply' button?)

I take it to mean that you tried your greyhounds system (several years in the making!) in the real world, and found it to be utterly useless. So now you're convinced that, with modifications, your system will work better on horse racing, because more people there are clueless. Right?
Report bf_fananatic January 26, 2012 11:40 AM GMT
you still havent any clue as to what i meant, but basically my surveys did find trends that hover around seasonally and perhaps trapped in grading bubbles that leak slowly and sure enough profit is around but with the tight grading of bags/begs added its a massive data mining operation to maintain so I have aborted the huge time investment still needed in favour of horse racing which has even more massive profit, as an example the app I am working on the first 6 races has top-rated 12 runners and found 5 winners, 24,18,18,8,6 at BSP
now I expect this to be a bubble but its a great start and one I never saw in greyhound racing ever in 6 races.
Report bf_fananatic January 26, 2012 11:43 AM GMT
and I looked at 10,000 greyhound races so if you consider the inaccuracy of horse books because it suits the profits of firms and then add the liquidity available on horse racing its a gold mine and my first apps many years ago were horse racing done for a friend, only now its me knocking on my door every day for tips and not my landlordWink
