Bet no.3 Sivasspor v Kardemir Karabuk (Turkish league) Over 2.5 goals @ 2.04 |

Under 2.5 goals in the Bath City v Newport game is now @ 2. So it shows that 2.14 was definitely value. I could trade out now but there isn't much point.
Bet no.3 has won and made me 4.94 points profit. I will be back later or tomorrow with tonights results. Thank you. |

Hello, just the one bet today so far as I'm hoping to see a swing in the Man United match later on.
@ Contrarian, sorry I didn't realise this thread would offend you. That certainly wasn't my aim. If anybody doesn't like my thread you do not need to open it. I'm far more disciplined with my bets in view. Thank you. 04/01/12 Bet no.4 Kerkyra v Aris Thes (Greek League) Over 2.5 goals @ 2.76 Winners: 2 Losers: 1 Points Profit: 5.26 |

Bingo,
No, it didn't offend me. I just wondered why you had decided to post these bets on a forum. |
|
By:
@ Contrarian, hello its just easier to log and keep my discipline this way. I can stop posting if people want. I don't want people to fall out with me over a thread, life's to short.
Thank you. |

No, keep it going bingo....i love this type of thread.
it's all about the journey ![]() |

Bingo,
Just ignore me. If it helps you stay disciplined, then that's reason enough. |

So you don't think he's just an attention seeker who hopes to post a long series of winners so that he'll gain lots of kudos and people will think he's somehow special?
Because that's what 95% of these threads seem to be about. |

I am the only one...
In most cases you are correct, and maybe be this one as well. What I wonder about is these picks in the Turkish and Greek leagues, how can anyone know about those leagues unless they live there. Perhaps he does. |

Hello, I never realised how much people would be offended by the thread as there seems to be so many different challenges on here. I apologise for starting a thread that people don't like and I will stop posting right away. I will continue to test this on paper and hope to find a decent profit just as my laying teams thread has done. One more thing before I go. The internet is such a powerful tool that you do not need to live in Turkey to know about the Turkish league, you do not need to live in Portugal to know about their league. I can research any league within 5 minutes flat.
If I'm constantly getting value (which so far I have) albeit it at a loss then long term profitability should be achievable. I research every single game I bet on, I don't just bet for the sake it. Anyway i won't take up anymore of anyone's time. Thank you. |

Don't mind these guys Bingo, whatever your reasons are they are your own. For me personally, I like to see people succeed (those with a decent enough manner anyway).
Keep posting! |

bingo, you seem a little sensitive to other forumites observations,
so I wonder why you posted your thread in the first place. People are not 'offended' by the thread but may offer critical observation, if that is not to your taste then perhaps you need to move on. |

@ Kenilworth
Hello, first of all I have a laying teams thread that goes back more than 4 months so criticism and skepticism are to be expected when posting on a public forum, I am too long in the tooth to know this. As Contrarion and others have already said, what is the point in posting on this forum? I genuinely post on this forum to keep my discipline and I'm not afraid to say it is my biggest struggle. I hope I can make money longterm on Betfair, my profit and loss to this date says I can but i need far more bets to justify my way of thinking. Also I'm not sensitive at all. I just started the thread as a bit of harmless fun and people obviously have issues with it. That isn't a problem at all. The less time I spend on here the more time I can spend researching. Thank you. |

Look, if there's clear reasoning and good stats behind this type of thread then I welcome it with open arms. For instance Clydebank's "Zambia to win Group D of the African Nations Cup" thread or TrevH's thread about laying San Marino to score a goal etc etc.

yes. no-one knows if you bet at all HTH |

Would you like me to install a web cam in my office, and set up a live stream to a website, so you can watch me betting all day?

Listen, ive spoke to bingo and read his laying thread regularly, he's a nice guy and makes a profit unless most people on here

I meant TRFC Kev's thread about San Marino. And I make a very good living from Betfair, just don't need to shout about it.

By:
Yeah, quiet day so far, but I've bet in 16 markets.
I'll do a bit of Spanish football later. |

fair enough.
couple of bets? and outcome? |

Paul, would you like a tip?

The reason you find people like me frustrating is that we claim to be making a living gambling, and yet we are unable/unwilling to post our bets before the event.
When you discovered the forum, you probably imagined that it would be a paradise of tips from expert gamblers. All you would have to do would be to sort out the good from the bad tipsters, and you'd be rich within months. Well, the bad news is that the world just isn't like that. If anyone is regularly feeding you tips, especially if they're charging you for them, you can be pretty sure that they're worthless. No one who has been fortunate enough, through hard work or serendipity, to come across a regular 'edge' in these markets would be stupid enough to reveal it on a public forum (or sell them through a tipping site). As I've said to you before, these sports betting markets are relatively small, and revealing one's edge to the public would, in general, be sufficient to destroy that edge entirely. |
|
By:
is that the tip?

Since you started on here, what active steps have you taken to improve your edge?

it's a fair post. lets leave Bingo's thread alone now. back to topic...
