Ive been studying these markets and have come to following conclusions..

1. I used to think laying the 0 0 ht was easy money but in fact i think if you back all 0 0 at ht in every game you will come out ahead at the end of the season.

2. How can you prepare yourself against the unpredictability of the correct score in 90mins market!! people must lose their balls on this long term. The 0 0 scoreline is dynamite either way you play it. There is no edge in this market as far as i can see due to times of goals etc.

Anyone else think differently?

Correct score betting is 'torture'.
But it can be done profitably with persitence and absolute discipline. Neither of which 99.99% of gamblers have.GL.

@FatalStatistics

Fatal, I followed with much interest a strategy you were testing, then doing, 18 to 30 months ago.  How did it pan out?

sorry Cynth, I dont check the forum much any more.
If you're referring to my correct score torture thread,  it ended very very well. profitable ROi of over 10%.
i made the common mistake of trying to improve it even further and went off on tangents trying to make it easier and even more profitable but ended up going backwards.

My correct score betting thread failed for this very reason.
Your post has  encouraged me to resurrect 'ye olde torture spreadsheet' and 'get back on the horse'.
thank you and i may start new 'torture thread' if there's interest.
GL All.

The 0-0 market is very hard to beat due to it's efficiency,
and even harder to understand the fascination it has for
punters considering it's around the 4th most likely full
time score. Despite that it attracts the more business than
it other score and I prefer to be play the correct score in the
last 30 mins, when a lot of people lose their discipline,
including the players on the field.

This is very true- and i believe you need a certain 'skin' to survive for long in this market.

The mental toughness of seeing a 2k profit swiped from beneath your nose because of 2 quick goals after a few days/weeks of non profit  etc can leave you feeling washed out .

I've seen many good people come and go  on the CS -

I've made 1.41% (after commission) on bet volume on correct score from 2006-2011Q3 with a lot of volatility.

For instance the whole of 2010 was a losing year for my correct score betting.

Well investor you sure know how to keep a correct score on your betting history, if nothing else.
Report Coachbuster • November 24, 2011 4:19 PM GMT
Investor - do you use CS like i use match odds and under 2.5 ...as a sort of back up ?  I take it you specialise somewhere ?
Report kenilworth • December 5, 2011 10:54 AM GMT
Investor, do you consider such a thin margin (1.41 net) worth pursuing ? I've been
running the rule over a 'correct score' from half time onwards, providing
at least one goal has been scored and over about 800 matches showing just
under 40 points (5% before commission)) and wondering whether it is worth
pursuing.
