Sorry bossman, but your post read a bit odd.
Ignore me. |

I used this 3 step procedure to make more than £10k+ in the good old days without a losing run exceeding £200:
1) Put offers up to lay goals for matches taking place the following evening just before going to bed. 2) Check position to get front of queue in the morning before heading to work. 3) at 5pm trade out by backing whatever selections I got matched laying. Very easy. Not worth bothering with anymore as a manual strategy as bots jump in front of everything now. |

whats bots?
|
|
By:
is that when you had a job then investor?
how do see what "position" you are in? |
|

Whats a bot if its not autobetting softawre, and how does cross-matching work, sounds interesting?

Trading the place market on horse racing based on moves made on the win market along with the Harville formula.

yes paulme. If you are laying at 16 in total goals and some joker has jumped in front of you at 16.01, you jump in front of them. That's what I mean by checking the position.
|
|
By:
i see so like brighton liverpool tmrw what amount of match goals would be at 16? if thats what you mean
|
|
By:
You can't place a bet at 16.01 [:p]
|
|
By:
Oh yes you can(total goals markets)
|
|
By:
Really? I stand corrected.

idiot cat flap

By:
Like you knew different paulme!
Like Investor says, the Total Goals market can be a cut throat shark pool with 'bots' 'parasites' and 'flies round ****' punters undercutting by 0.01. Investor, how come you greened up your value lays, probably would have made more money letting them run I'd have thunk. |

Yeah Trevh, this was my first winning strategy though. Back then I wasn't really sure what my edge was and if what I was doing would really work and beat commission, so I wanted super consistent returns to prove quickly to myself that I could make money doing this.
I had a £2k bank and trading meant I could take pretty big positions of a few hundred quid and 'pay a a little' to stabilise returns. Nowadays I'm happier to take a position, and my returns are a lot more volatile. |

That told you Catflap!!

Indeed LordB, in my beery haze I forgot about the other market types on here. Luckily after 20 years with my ex I am well trained in the art of being wrong!

Well if you don't want to be ridiculed by Paul then stay off that drink! (Sounds like a good idea for a cut down on drinking campaign..)

Football cross performance plays with the spread firms. Those were the days
with Spin, Spex, City, IG and for a while Cantor all with different components in their performance markets.By buying with one firm and selling with another you could engineer some great positions. Not guaranteed profits but certainly the right side of the value line. |
