What strategy if any can I employ to green up if I back first but then lay at Betfair SP?  As you never know exactly what the lay odds and having to specify a minimum liability, is it possible to acurately balance a return or loss ?

You should be able to green/red up but not right to
the last penny. Do you need to do that ?

I tend to do the opposite lay then back to trade out so probably not much help.  I presume your not at your PC to simply manually do via trading software at the off.

Someone disagrees with you Do Wah Diddy on the relevance of Pythagorus to football betting:

Decided to go with SP Lay Liability = Bet Stake * (Back Odds - 1)

That way if the horse wins I break even, if the horse loses I will gain a profit (if the odds go he right way of course).

You don't sound very well spoken. Perhaps you should let her keep your name and call yourself essex girl instead!

I'm still here.  Come to think of it `Chelsea Girl` was registered when setting up Laugh

Name comes from Ride EP.

You are right to say I have a hairy @rse, but I'm definately not from Rotherham and definately not called Ted Happy

You'll have to be more specific Delta!   Do you mean Good chelseagirl or Bad chelsea girl (or Ted, as we call her now)?

To stop all confusion perhaps you could call them big ted and little ted.

Well now they'll both be fighting to see who gets to be called big ted.   Mind you, that will at least tell us which sex they are - no woman would want to be called 'big' and no man would want to be called 'little'!

For the un-initiated 'chelsea girl' is a track by Simple Minds.
