lets say you have 6 bets per day.  We will make each month 4 weeks (28 days)

so 6 bets per day is 42 per week,  x this by 4 is 168 bets per month!

x times by 6 months is 1008 bets.  if you back at evens and have a 55% strikerate your profit for £5 bets would be £510

this is a very high amount of bets though.  6 day/42 a week is quite high i think.

1008 bets @ £5 is turnover of £5040 so £510 profit is just over 10% ROI

thanks again for reply. i was thinking i might b doing too many bets mayb best cutting down to 3-4 per day. just theres been alot on this week. if i was to do say 4 per day would that be about £300 profit?

what do u think? do u have any set amount of selections?

I dont set myself a certain number of bets per day.

I have a look at what is one, see if there is any value and take it from there.

1 day there might be 0, next day there might be 3 and on a saturday there could be 20

if i see 20 bets that have good value then I'm not afraid to bet all 20, if there value is there and you think you have an edge go for it. also dont feel the need that you have to bet just for sake of it.

£5 saved is just as valuable as £5 won [;)]

I dont know you're situation and dont know what you are aiming to achieve but I have certain targets that i like to make each month

I dont force myself to meet them though. if theres no value then theres no value.

If struggle to find value the best advice I can give is to price up you're own games before looking at prices on offer

once you have looed at the industry prices it can cloud you're judgement

make you're picks, write next to it the minimum odds you would take on that selection then look what is on offer

sometimes you would be amazed. If you are not getting as much as you wanted then dont bet

Today I had west brom @ 2.50 and Udinese @ 2.20 so I was delighten to get 2.72 and 2.50

I could of got 3.00 on west brom but was waiting to see if odemwingie and long were fit.  once they were passed fit the price dropped quick

ok mate thanks for advice.

really my target is just to make this profitable and enough profit to make it worth my while.

i do admit i get tempted by some bets that i should really just avoid, for example the rugby bets. ive won 1/4 25%. not great. goes to show how much i know about it.

i think really what im looking for is to work around a percentage

did u think 55% was too high a target?

im gonna cut back to 3-4 bets per day, tho like u say if theres nothing there i will leave it.

No I dont think 55% strikerate is too high.

Just stick to what you know mate. I have'nt got a fecking clue about anything other than darts or football.

know abit about tennis but i'm no master.  backed Fed vs Djoko and then laid off when 2-0 up but thats about it really.

I think it is best to find 1-2 sports and really get to know them inside out.  Others will disagree but i think trying to be anexpert in every single sport out there can only harm you.

Football is my living so all my focus is on that.  If I start to learn about another sport that takes my time away from football and then my knowledge of footballl starts to slip

im happy just being a football master Silly and do well at darts aswell

i agree with what your saying

footy is my main one, obv i dont always get it right but i know a fair amount about premier league teams

like yourself darts is another then i hav a bit of tennis knowledge

the only problem with the football is apart from premier league and other big european teams it does limit the amount of bets as i stay away from unknown teams/leagues. i think this is prob y i get tempted with other sports (even if my knowledge is limited) esp if there on telly.

I have awide range of football.

all top 4 english leagues and 4 scottish leagues along with serie A, La liga

dont pay much attention to other german or french leagues as i dont like them much.  french football is awful

with all these leagues im looking at 150-200 games every weekend.  20 markets a match is giving me 3000-4000 markets every weekend to find valuable bets.

the info online these days is huge.  Doing you're homework definately gives you an edge.  I have already read every match report from yesterdays games across all 4 english leagues and looked at all the match stats and inputed them into my spreadsheets

Alot of people just look at amatch result and thats it.  It pays to know how the game went and if they deserved that victory.

you maybe saw couple of weeks ago there was derby threads up and everyone was wondering why derby were so high at home to burnley after they had won 4 out of 4.

majority of the thread were all over derby and I posted all thereasoning as to why burnley were the team to be on (around 9/4)

burnley won 2-1 i was right due to having knowledge of how every derby game and every burnley game went so far.  Others just saw derby 4 wins from 4 and did'nt even know the 2 wins against blackpool and watford were smash and grabs and not deserved.

same when crawley were away @ cheltenham.  every thinking crawley at evens was a great price.  I knew how every crawley and cheltenham game had went so far and backed cheltenham @ 4/1 (5/1 on here)

cheltenham won 3-1

Had swindon to beat rotherham aswell at great price.  Obviously it does'nt always go my way and I get things wrong but I can more right than wrong and back odds against so I will always be profitable.

thats really gd that u have good knowledge for lower lges. to be honest apart from glimpsing at championship table and results every so often, i pay little attention to the lower leagues, but you hav made me think

do u make notes i take it?

its interesting how much you can learn from a match report

read the stoke v liverpool report. before this match i didnt fancy liverpool but didnt lay them,(think they were about 2.2) if only i had mayb read that liverpool have never beaten stoke at the brittania since stoke were promoted i prob would have. also after reading the report i know now stoke did well to hang on and that it seems it just wasnt liverpools day going by the amount of chances missed

liverpool definately deserved something from the game. tough place to get al 3pts though stoke.

I did'nt think liverpool would win but Inever layed them or anything.
