Veitch's book is a pretty good read and gives you an insight on what you need to do to win.

Interestingly there are a whole range of betting books on how to win etc. I'd ask yourself how many of those have ever been used by people to genuinely make the sort of money that the authors imply could be won by applying their techniques.
An awful lot out there are rip-offs of other peoples ideas. Most are simply an exercise in lining the pockets of authors. |

I enjoyed Mark Douglas - Trading in the Zone, not exactly a betting book but markets and applicable to sports trading mindsets. His other books I'd recommend too.

A good racing book and a good gambling book are often two entirely different things. Do you want to learn about racing, or learn about gambling?
Anyway, a good book on gambling is 'The Art Of Legging'. It's a little old and doesn't cover betting exchanges, but gives a good history on the principles of bookmaking. |

The original question is a bit vague. Any particular aspects of racing you're interested in knowing about, Macarony?
