Yep last time I did some work in Bristol ... I sat in a McDonald's only to find that their wireless system (Cloud) looks like it bans BF. Then sat in my vehicle with my mobile providing the connection but that was bit hard with the sun shine and then finally bought a ticket to the cinema and sat in a quiet area there ....
just wanting an easier more comfortable day ... |

I see thats real problematic, I can recommend those myfi devices that create a hot spot in your pocket so you can connect to wifi, more reliable than a dongle or tethered mobile as if you drop the signal everything holds fast an reconnects and the drop out rate is very low indeed as the device is not event driven vis the main pc as in a tethered or usb device. Your main problem is finding a suitable place to use it from thats out of the way, Internet cafes are too crowded and they block certain things and can peep on your activities.

There was a trading room in the Winning Post opposite St Mary Redcliffe church about 5 minutes from Temple Meads station - not sure if they're open on Sunday

thanks SonofDunc for the info - may check it out or simply find a quiet spot in the cinema like ended up doing last time I was in Bristol .... saying that I have lost enough money today to cover both today and tomorrow so may not play much.
