General Betting

Now giving their own 'bookmakers' odds. Overound higher, but doesn't seem to be a limit, no queues and no commission. Might be of interest to a certain punter on here. [;)]

Limits coming up on mine stewarty, probably yours as well, you just haven't seen it. Not surprisingly the odds are lower than the exchange ones but strangely the max stake seems less than they could lay off on their exchange.

I just phoned them Feck and asked if I could have 3k on a 100/30 shot.
They said no problem, although I haven't tried it on the site. I'll look again for the limits. |

odds same as exchange, limits same also - at least the few markets I have looked that
maybe early days but looks like they are just being open about seeding their markets. |

I see what you mean now Feck if actually trying to place a bet. I was told no limits when I phoned,after receiving their E.Mail this morning. (obviously there has to be a limit of some sorts) I can only think that the lady I spoke to wasn't up to speed. Having said that, at least they're trying.

I phoned them back 2 minutes ago and got the same woman. She told me that if I phoned them they might be able to accomadate me for more at the price required. I'm thinking it's testing the water time for them at the moment??

JBHA, it's not the same odds (or stakes) as exchange. If it was the same odds why would anyone use the exchange as Bet1 is commission free.

i have only looked at football and tennis so far, and sorry the odds are not identical to the exchange, but are similar enough so that when commission is taken into account there is next to no difference (6.8 at exchange, 6.4 at 1bet), for all tennis that I have looked at the max stake is the same as that offered at the exchange - look at verdasco - nadal. There is no innovation here, there is nothing exciting, they are more or less (yes there is a difference due to commission) transposing the exchange odds onto 1bet. They seed their markets, they steal soccer from the asians, and other sports from other sites, this just provides them with another opportunity to lay off.

if i still had an account i would put up an over the odds lay for a couple of quid to see what the knock on effect was at the book
