Seems to be more money swilling around the screen but the top prices are consistently a tick or two wider than on here.

If all the pros are now over there, why won't they offer better prices?

The 2 markets are not always in tandem.  take tonight, betfair clients trying lay man city whilst across the road they are offering two ticks more practically all evening.  likewise betfair shorter on swansea as their clients want to back them.  Quite an interesting battle between the clients of the 2 exchanges.

Arbing a tick across the exchanges - How does that work when you have to pay commission?

Say busy pre match market on here (over/under 2.5 goals) 2.1 - 2.12.... but 2.08 - 2.12 over there....I'm happy to back at 2.11 on purple.....which you would expect to go as 2.12 being laid here and lower commission etc.

What happens? - Bet just sits there.

It is growing but only because betfair is giving them the best pr boost ever [;)]

Purple is the same as  betfair was 5 years ago...you have to work at getting your bet matched

If your not paying PC and are happy at betfair, bet here..I just know, if it was me, and I wansn't paying PC, i still have money at Purpl,e and start to work at Purple to try and get a better prices

If you're a pro (not paying PC) then you need money at both exchanges

I can see purple picking up alot of new customers with 2.5 comms and no pc, what effect this will have
on possible changes to betfair pc policy we will have to see in say a years time when the figures come through

I had 200k USD matched on tennis last week.....if you said that I could do this 6 weeks ago...I say you was crazy

Wow cool, thats good liquidity nairda, I think like most that pc2 is far to off-putting to all customers, pc1 was accepted but at rates of up 60% it smacks of super-tax instead of vat, thats not just my opinion its everbodys , I hope that betfair find some recourse to the pc2 policy at some point as it could be a big anchor to growth in the future!

I reckon give it till next july, the stagnated new customer/liquidity growth figures come through for
sports markets then a rethink will be needed, in fact if the big 480 lived on half volume instead of
churning then it would get scrapped, but thats just wishful thinking as cant see the top players
easing there game!

The trouble is customers are just as eager to get the profits as fast as there taken away from them in
charges.
