Premium Charge Riots: Theresa May to meet police chiefs

Home Secretary Theresa May is to return from her summer holiday following a second night of riots from Premium Charge protestors.

More than 100 forumites have been banned and 35 skimbot operators injured as police vehicles were damaged and the offices were looted at Hammersmith HQ.

Following riots in Hammersmith on Saturday, disorder spread to Malta and Dublin in other Betfair offices.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg called the premium charge "opportunistic theft".  He has now been banned from the Betfair forum under his name FINE AS FROG HAIR.

Theresa May, who has been in contact with other senior politicians and police leaders while overseas, will meet new Betfair tips gurus Dixon, Nicholls and Jim Bowen to ask these experts for their help on how to get out of the riots.
Earlier she said: "Last night, Betfair call centre staff again put themselves in harm's way to protect premium charge revenue. Betfair has made clear that there are no excuses for premium charge avoidance, and I call on all members of local communities to work constructively with the police to help them bring pc2 avoiding criminals to justice."

On Sunday night, three more Betfair middle managers left the company in response to the premium charge riots.  The Betfair toll of departing middle managers has now risen to 426,198 in one of the worst crises of middle management departures since Polly Peck.  When asked for his response to the latest departures of middle management, Betfair CEO David Yu said “I’m leaving too”.

Clashes later broke out in the Betfair green room, with rioters looking to steal Betfair fleeces.  Protestors targetted the Betfair fleeces, worth about £25 each, despite plenty of Betfair share certificates being available to loot.  One thief stated that the fleeces were worth £25 more than the shares would be worth in a weeks time.

On Sunday night, two Betfair staff were seriously injured when they tried to read all the way through to the end of bf_fananatic’s posts. 

Clashes later broke out at SportingBet’s offices, after staff became aware Numis Securities’ Ivor Jones had proposed that Betfair should merge with SportingBet.  In a shock twist, rioters are believed to all be SportingBet staff, concerned that their share options in SB could tank if they merged with Betfair.  One member of SB staff speaking off the record was worried about the impact of the merger on the SB canteen.  “Betfair staff have just been in and taken 60% of our desserts.  They want to move from 60% on profits to 60% on profiteroles too.  Our cakes just aren’t big enough for that kind of creamium charge”.

•    Hammersmith station is closed
•    Users of buses numbered 5 or lower now have to use the 60 bus. 
•    Users of buses numbered 6 to 10 now have to use the 50 bus.
•    Users of buses numbered 10 to 20 now have to used the 40 bus.
