VIP closed down on Aug 1 giving very little notice (other than a note that was apparently on their website for a couple of weeks)

I had a balance there and was unaware that they were closing until today. They could very easily have vanished into the ether but have settled my balance with the minimum of fuss.

I feel that as the site no longer exists and has no intention of reopening that this isn't spammy, if a little fawning. I've posted before that they're somewhere between a bit dodgy and very dodgy, but seems I was wrong. Well done VIP!

Seems BetJamaica also ceased operations this month, although they re-merged with TheGreek.

That's two major sites down in the same month (and of course the added costs of playing at Betfair)

Bad month for sports gamblers.

Have to think Tony Williams will be last man standing in all this, him or Calvin Ayre I guess, for different reasons.

Have to feel for the Vegas craps tables now Ivey's freeroll has ended

Anyone know when Extrabet.com closed up shop? They sent me an email last week wanting me to withdraw funds.

Google
Tony Williams Five Dimes Conversation

You'll find dozens of examples of:

"Hello, 5Dimes support"
- "Hello, there was an odd settlement last night in the xyz match.
I realise it was a strange situation but other sites did it differently and your rules don't cover it. I thought it was unfair myself"

"You need to speak to tony, I'll put you through"

....

"Hello, Tony speaking, how can I help"

-"Hello, there was an odd settlement last night in the xyz match.
I realise it was a strange situation but other sites did it differently and your rules don't cover it. I thought it was unfair myself"

"I settled that market personally it is right"

- "I think it's wrong because..."

"I settled it, it's right. If you don't like it go elsewhere"

- "I think you're cheating me"

"You still have $xxxx in you balance. Use that word again I'll show you who's cheating who."

fwiw, in those instances, it's always turned up that he did settle the other side as a winner, or the original person was indeed trying it on.

He simply doesn't suffer fools at all, even when he actually IS wrong.

Heard a rumour about someone having a bid for Pinn rejected. I forget who.

If only they could sort out their website and stop logging you off every 10 seconds then it wouldn't be a million miles off a one stop shop.

^

They would also need markets for Correct Score and over/unders  to 102%
