I have a macbook and do the following: 1. use firefox and have the betterprivacy addon 2. enter a private browsing session every time I start 3. use ccleaner regularly 4. have cookies blocked from iesnare.com 5. have a dynamic ip address What else should I do to stop them tracking me? What other ways can they track the laptop other than cookies and iesnare?
You need to alter the website storage settings on any flash player. The cookies that the books use to inform them of your presence are on this program.
The company offers a remarkable degree of 'granularity' in allowing you to disable cookies per website. You also need to disable iesnare, as you mentioned.
This should point you forward:

I'm not a tech expert but someone else will be able to answer more specific questions.

Private browsing the case of some books e.g. Betfred was the first to do this, I think, the sly fox defaults you to a minimum or restricted bet.
It's better to maintain anonymity on a new account and discard it when the book limits you.

My understanding is that if you never allow the named website (some will just be called 'iesnare') space on yr computer's 'local storage', yr computer will not be tracked as the same through which you previously bet.
It's an arms war and I'm sure the bookies have already moved another step ahead.

Some good posts on this topic, however i already have the betterprivacy add on for firefox which removes all lso's after each visit, is this enough or should i also alter the website storage settings? Are you sure betfred are the only bookies that defaults you to a minimum or restricted bet if you have private browsing and do you know which other bookies do this? If I don't privately browse and just use ccleaner regularly, should this do the job?
