Never in history of betting has so many moaned so much about a charge that affects so few!
There is nothing wrong with the concept of an exchange that offers a "fair" playing field for all users, giving very small over-rounds, higher prices and a variety of markets and products and allowing for winners unlike other betting companies but at the same time there will be those that using advanced software or bookmakers laying off strong fancied runners will continually take advantage of the system to the great detriment of other users, Betfair and the revenues.
Is it "fair" to let this group continually rake so much off other users money (many millions)and deny Betfair from making its small commission thus having little left to attract new customers in advertising or incentive plans, let alone pay the bills!
Well done Betfair for introducing this charge to make for a fairer and more level playing field so that the eco-system can benifit and thus all the users of this greatest of British success story that is known as "Betfair"
Yes I am a great fan of Betfair , always have been and always will be as there is no other exchange that can match there liquidity(the other sites liquidity is unfairly represented by a factor of 6x-20x on races), there website, there products or there guts when it comes to moving the company forward
Good luck to all customers and betfair and a prosperous future to all!

This is the typical response of the pro betfair users who haven't read the corporate information. You should get your facts straight before spouting fallacies. By no means is the "Exchange" suffering due to pc2 players - the exchange is doing very well - read Nemesis's posts. It is the floatation and expenditure into unrelated products i.e., LMax that is costing betfair.
It is betfair's right to invest in what it deems is a possible money maker but please get your facts right for a change.

getafix apart from trying to entangle me in your obscure accusation, do you not agree the pc2 is a brilliant business decision or are you just another miff merchant

I do not agree that the PC2 is a brilliant business decision - it means other exchanges will get a bigger foothold and liquidity will get reduced for all involved. It may boost betfair's short terms profits but I fear it will cause much more harm to existing customer sentiment and new customer appeal.

I know you've only been here less than a couple of weeks but you do realise it's not betfair setting these odds/liquidity don't you?

If they are playing by unfair means then maybe Betfair should ban them rather than act like Fagin leeching off his gang of thieves.
Well done Betfair for introducing this charge to make for a fairer and more level playing field
Ummm maybe you could explain how all of the sudden Betfair has become fairer and more of a level playing field? I can see no changes, tracksiders were still able to lay memory from 11's to a BSP of 37 in the blink of an eye before suspension when it became obvious it hadn't left the stalls at the off. If you want to make things fairer you look at the reasons why they're winning and close those loopholes not dip into their pockets.
Betfair " gotta pick a pocket or two"

As usual your post is just nonsense from first to last word apart fom the first line. I agree with you on that.
I also happen to think it's an awful buisniss deciscion. It will over time allow one or more of their competitors to grow up. Something that over time will cost Betfair much more money than they will rake from PC.
They will probably adjust or reverse PC charges when they realize this, but by then it will be to late.

I pay the original PC betting on ATR and RUK. Until 18 months ago I had never even heard of the auto refresh application. You have no idea how to make it more level or fair.
What pills are you on son?

the new pc is a nee-jerk reaction due to the fact they have moved company abroad to aviod paying tax, however this failed because goverment bringing in new laws to nagate this loop hole.

An excellent analogy Joe.

Whilst eating his cornflakes at breakfast earlier, Mr bf_fananatic was opening his mail, one of which was from British Gas. He soon came over in a hot flush and climaxed in his y-fronts once he noticed that his energy bill would rise by 50% this year.

pmbets, if you somehow have found out bff's identity, you shouldn't reveal it on here unless he has written it here himself or if he really is a Betfair plant (which I don't believe).
You certainly can't mean he is the I.D. I found after a few seconds of reasearch ?

nobody knows my identity on this forum, just my views, I do think like betfair and its staff because I believe in the fair ethics of winning but thats my only link, perhaps this forum is not so much a think tank or exchange of views or opinions but an outlet for most peoples lack of understanding, inability to show concern, obsession with personnel gain, desire to offend and lack of self control, what ever did betfair do to deserve you defies imagination!
