the days starts with a loss.. the selection went off as a 1.7 favourite and was matched at 1.2 or lower in running... i could have layed off but decided against it.. not having pictures makes in-running difficult...  anyways, we have lot of racing ahead of us..

maidens for me are guessing races, they always tell you fav is getting better with each run, likelyhood of newcomer being a potential winner is always value. my general rule is odds on shots, they get beat.so if i do bet in these type races, i inevitably go for the newcomers. unlucky

Roadrunner, your thoughts are similar to mine.. i prefer laying in the maiden races as you can always find one or two surprises.. this race looked weak on pedigree and on hindsight i had marked the winner ****cat Dream as a potential danger.. but anyways onwards and upwards... win or lose, its all part of the game

thanks letsalldance, small bank so have to be conservative in betting.. from my previous mistakes i have learnt that stake size are most important for long term winning.. for this challenge my max bet will be 1/5th of the bank .. i know thats very high as most would recommend 1% or so.. but then i am only doing it till september... so have to be bit adventurous...
