Can it be done?

was at the cricket the other day playing inrunning and i was still getting beat to the prices and was always 1-2 seconds behind

Somebody was always getting infront of the queue it was like somebody must be placing bets without the 5 second countdown

I dont belive it to be anything dodgy on betfairs part them disabling the clock

Was wondering if hackers or bots could somehow disable the clock

I've been caught several times on footy matches where a hooverer has gobbled the odds one second or so before the suspension after a goal has been scored, I even managed to get BF to refund me on one occasion but they didn't want to initially. In the case of football it could be that a suspend monkey isn't paying full attention and is just one or two seconds slow on hitting the button, that's all it takes.

I don't know anything about the cricket markets though, but I would have thought it would be mighty difficult (or impossible) to hack the system and disable the in-running delay. What a license to print that would be!

There is no inplay suspension in cricket matches and a hack is impossible.

Only BF can be beating the delay clock.

I explained in another thread why this is the real agenda behind the pc.

rockysanta - were you placing your bets with good technology and fast internet?

actually reading this reminded me that one day last year I was talking to somebody who had a man at a 20/20 game so was gettting as near to live scores as poss, yet the odds were moving a couple of seconds quicker than you would reasonably expect

maybe there is something in this - after all BF had to conclude that the original clock beating method did actually work, so perhaps there is still some kind of way available?

I think you'll find there's only one cleaner upper on here, at the end of the day. Sad

One night betfair confused the times when atlanta ATP should have started so everyone could bet without 5 sec delay for an hour or so :p

BF;s license in OZ specifically prevents them trading in their own markets (so I understand).

Next time there is an international game at the WACA I might go down and see if it is happening here.
