Happens all the time. You don't have to log out. Just close the pop-up, go to Community on the main page and reset to classic there , then launch pop-up again before going back to betting page on the main site.

OK I'll try that
You mean don't go the switch option at the top of the forum page ? Because that doesn't work for me unless I log out and in after switching settings. |
|
By:
Btw why does this non asked for switching occur at all ?
Are they trying to wean us off the classic version ? It never switches from classic to new invountarily. |
|
By:
The swithc option dissapper from the pop-up version here when this happens, so no chance of fixing it there.
I have no idea why this , or other strange things for that sake happens on here, but there are several annoying bugs doing things like this. This one is among the worst though. The really bad ones can deny you access to betting markets for sometimes a long while. |

*This one isn't among the worst though.*

Yep this is only annoying, not life changing.

It never happens to me
It never happens to me Maybe that's the way my life was meant to be As sung by Feargal Sharkey (before he became The Housemartins) (IMO). |

Do you get logged out now and then too FAFH? Been happening FREQUENTLY last few weeks ....and can be very very costly.
Looks like BF want us just to use the new forum .......which is bloody annoying when I prefer the old forum! |
|
By:
CLASSIC FORUM has "disappeared" twice on me in last 15 mins......Been like that for months!
|
|
By:
Happens to me too, sometimes I close the forum then reopen it and it is a weird looking page showing all the smileys and it just doesn't look right, other times it brings up the new version and because it's the popup version I have to go back to Community on the main page and switch back from there.

Only ever classic to new, not the other way round ?. If so then I'm starting to think it is a deliberate activity, not a bug. |
|
By:
Correct
|
|
By:
If I open the IE browser it goes automatically to Classic, which is good enough for the forum.
Firefox or Google Chrome for betting. |
|
By:
Once again today was logged out when I was about to place a bet......time consuming and could be very COSTLY!
Also getting regularly switched out of CLASSIC to the new forum........looks very much like BF want us to use new forumas they can implant any promotions they want at top of new forum, whereas they can't do that with CLASSIC. If this is the case then for FK sake get rid of CLASSIC and stop wasting our time having to constantly trying to use CLASSIC !!!!! |
|
By:
probably happens when you've cleared you cache/cookies ... what were you looking at that you don't want anyone elese to know about?
Nothing to hide, nothing to fear imo ![]() |

|
|
By:

Gus it doesn't just happen when cookies are cleared, it also happens randomly like if I have the main betfair window open and open the forum, it's classic but sometimes if I close the forum down and open it a bit later it goes to the new one.

I had the exact same problems you describe in your 22.47 post. A couple of weeks ago I had to replace a few parts of my computer, including the hard drive. I have had no problems since. |
|
By:
Thanks tim, glad I am not the only one...I'm not going to buy a new computer to fix it though. The switch to the newer forum or the hybrid one seems to occur mainly if I am viewing the forum and then close it, then I click on My Account and close it.

Joel, I get that strange smiley looking page to sometimes when I refresh the forum. Have to close the forum down and when I open it again it has swithed to the new forum, so then I'll have to go through the procedure you described to get the classic back again.
