Eine halbe Seite im Wirtschaftsteil; eigentlich umfassend und kompetent. Kind of Insider-Information; Betfairs Börsenwert sei im letzten halben Jahr um die Hälfte eingebrochen- außerdem habe man die Situation in manchen Ländern falsch eingeschätzt...
Doch jetzt kommts: es wird in dem Artikel davon gesprochen- auch im Rahmen des neuen 'Lotteriestaatsvertrages' die
Einsätze künftig (pro Monat?) auf EUR 750,- begrenzen zu wollen...
(Ist natürlich in gewisser Weise paradox, weil hier  nicht zwischen BACK und LAY unterschieden wird !
Hab den Artikel im Moment leider nicht zur Hand).

PS: They are, of course, wrong in their conclusion. It's more likely that EU law gets modified with an exception to allow monopolies exclusively for gambling than the Germans changing their law.

The trend will continue with enacting laws that "destroy the local monopolies" while in fact establishing conditions(especially on taxing) that can only be met in a semi monopolistic environment and that make it impossible to differentiate gambling products to compete(customers lose, but who cares?).
The last part pretty much puts exchanges out of the race from the get go. They will have no way to fulfill the requirements for an operating license. After the French law was allowed to stand, all a country needs to do is a literal translation with "See, you allowed that already" appended at the end. It's just a matter of time before BF is pretty much out of most of Europe.
I never understood if they are incredibly short sighted or just don't care about the European market, because their official policy seems to be to say "Good" & "Not good" while the actual laws are being made with fallacious arguments.
