Hello there. Was just wondering if anyone would be able to tell me why the following happens - and it has happened to me several times!!

Today I placed a lay of 20pounds. I was the only one offering that price and no other money was in the queue. I came back to see £10 had been matched but when I looked at the market information it says that £20 has been traded at that price. So how come my full amount wasn't matched? Is it to do with this cross matching business??

Any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks.

£20 traded = £10 on your side, £10 for the person/s who matched with you.

Betfair double the actual amounts for reasons i don't understand, if the 1st bet placed on a market is £2 at Evens , it will then show £4 has been matched

So it really means that it was just £10 bet
