Enough liquidity elsewhere, not just to place a bet but to lay it off as well.

I dont think that attitude moves the liquidity elsewhere though lol.

And you don't think the alternative exchanges won't have IT problems if their trading volumes spike exponentially suddenly ?

No idea but monopolies do nobody any favours, spread the bets is my motto

ok tried my 1st evening on the darts on purple exclusively.

i had no problem getting matched pre at the going rate, but in running it is just

bots flashing odds on/off constantly and trading off in play is hard work.

however i did get matched even if i had to offer a little more than the going rate.

i won £357 on beaton and £375 on lewis paying amazingly £17 in commission in total!

im not sure exactly what i wolud have to pay on betfair at my new 40% rate, but

it must be around 250 quid compared to 17 quid at purple.

so to conclude if i have to offer slightly bigger than betfairs price in running,

i really have to give it a proper go over there and hope a few more come over.

And that's exactly what it should all be about.
Go to where it best suits your betting hopes and dreams and abilities.
Sounds like a hard but fun gambling session.
Well done squire.

I'm a significant cricket test match trader.

I just checked betduck and the liquidity (open offers) is better than here.

Although volume is far less.

Duck suffers 'in running'

yeh but fafh, the purple site doesnt suit my betting hopes and ability.

the site is a little awkward in running and as i say odds coming on screen and then

off all the time is not ideal.

im purely there coz ive been forced out and i dont run any software/bots and

have won my money purely on skill/knowledge in my opinion.

Here we go again.
" I'm a significant cricket test match trader ".
Why not say " I'm a cricket test match trader ".
Anyway unless pxb is Indian, and for some reason I don't think he is, he wouldn't probably ever be classed as even being potentially significant in cricket betting circles.

But you will probably get used to it in time, and maybe even start to like it.
In my case, in football, they don't even offer the mkts I want on most of the matches I bet in.

Hey that is quite interesting FAFH - which markets would you like to see ?
By:

All the ones that BF offer on most serious games.

Which ones, specifically?

Rocket
You keep telling me that I ask questions with an ulterior motive.
You're surely not trying to turn the tables on me now are you ?
I suppose I can at least say that ther are two halves in every football game.

Yeah I know it sounded like a loaded question but it wasn't. I was interested in which side markets you wanted.

Simple.  For me to stop making money.

cat you can take a fairly significant drop in profit by switching to purple and still come out ahead of Betfair

I am already doing my best bets on the Dublin exchange, I don't see me ever leaving complete;y  but I think over time I'll do less here

There was 40 million matched on the British Open last night on the winner when I turned it off, only 12 million on BF at the same time??

Not as many markets for example I can't find a tennis tournamment winner option only the  round they are playing at the time.

The amounts matched are calculated differently there

Purple's figures for the Open will look massive as they count matched money on liability
By:

When: 17 Jul 11 07:06
Rocket, the purple don't want me to play on their site but even if they did I could do so without affecting what I do on here.

So my answer is that simple. Happy

may i ask cat why purple wont let u play on their site?

i assume u must have played their before for them to reach that conclusion.

cant beleive its because of the use of a bot as the site has loads of em on it!

They didn't stop me directly but insisted that I adopt a minimum stake of £10.

Yes, it effectively killed my strategy.  Apparently I was pushing 'better liquidity' off the screen.
