I may be miles off the mark here, but is betfair rapid slower to match (notably I/R) than other API's?

Used it for 2 days (usually use Gruss), as a trial, but appears slow to match and very slow to report that you have been matched - which, if true, is baffling as its their own product!

Would appreciate any replies/views

I doubt it's any slower, it'll probably be that they aren't calling the getbets status as often as other software mainly to reduce the load on the api

I wish I had your obvious sort of tech skill and knowledge GJ.
Really I sincerely do.
Would make my gambling life quite a bit more interesting and, dare I say it, more profitable.
No chance though of getting up to speed on it all.
Flat out working how to use e-mail.

i think the problem is the software itself.

That is the software itself is very slow.

As pxb points out it may the software itself. I started my own project because starting Betfair Rapid would always load the next available horse race.

Although I am sure that many appreciate such interesting feature, I would have at least allowed to have a configuration option to disable such thing.

I tried configuring "my menus" and similar things always to no avail until I finally decided to my own thing was the way to go.
