The main USPs of Betfair were the better prices, the in-play betting, and the acceptance of winners.  It was that belief that it WAS possible to become successful at betting, the dangling carrot.

1. With the 20% PC, Betfair can no longer claim better prices.
2. Many bookmakers now have IP betting on most major events.
3. The incentive to continue betting to be successful has gone.

Why will regular punters continue using Betfair if there is zero chance of success?  Why kill the dream?

Yes the dream has gone for many.

I Have made over 110k less commission( in about 5 years) and as yet my 20per cet PC charge hasnt kicked in since we had the 1000 credit. think i have £400 left.

At most i may have about another 4-5 years left if lucky before i hit the 250k then its game over.

Shame on you betveryunfair hang your heads in shame!!

In 4-5 years time the limit will be lower than 250K lifetime.

They'll probably drop it to 100k in a couple of years.

It took 12 months to move the goalposts the first time, I should imagine that will coincide nicely with another share price prop (to about £2.80) this time next year.

I think they'll get so sick of the attempts to dodge the charge they'll remove the limit sooner rather than later.

Surely they should be forced to change there name under the "trade description act"

There must be some investors willing to launch another site to compete. Or maybe we should all club together and buy the other one and invest to make it the best. make it non profit making with profits ploughed back into advertising.
