Well that is disappointing ... you reply to KC and OJ but not to me. I didn't know you dislike me so much - I know we have different styles of betting - but to totally blank me is like I said disappointing to say the least.
Despite what you think about me - I genuinely wish you the best like everyone else that comes on here and gives it a go.

leave Inono to get on with his thread. What he does is totally up to him. Likewise I don't tell anyone else what to do however if you wish to offer some constructive advice do it in the right way rather than come on and create a post such as you have done.

you started this thread with a liability of £108 and now you have a liability of £1056 - I dont think you will last till the end of today tbh!!! why you staking like a nutter? DONT CHASE........

inono you've been on betfair a long time yet you appear to bet like a complete novice! As you said you got out of jail but you're just playing Russian Roulette, rethink what you're doing and how you're staking because you were on the verge of losing your bank after just a few bets.

i don't wish to spoil inono thread Paulme - but stop going on about every after-timing is all made up etc. Trust me it is not (well not for everyone). What Inono does standard lay selections before the start where as many others including myself do in-play trading and bets just before the off as I like to watch the money/odds change.
What the guys are referring to is - staking and money management (and the hard thing about not chasing) - which is key to successful betting. For instance with my challenge ... with first horse lays were to win around £6 to £10 each race ....I think inono bets should be around the 2 to 3% max liability of the bank roll - so that would be be £60 to £90 liability at any one time .... that way if you get a few hits you don't chase or you simply have the bank roll to keep going. It is not easy and I go off on a tangent every now and then myself ...

Who claims to make 1000's and 1000's paulme? If you're referring to the new PC calculations someone who's been on here 10 years would have needed to make 25k a year, they've probably put in 8 to 10 hours a day over 6 days a week and have made less than minimum wage to fall into the 60% deduction 'profile'. Where you get this 1000's and 1000's from is a mystery, plenty of people have worked hard to gain a small edge and now betfair want more than half of it.

What's this tipping winners/making £100 a day rubbish? It's not about making a set amount each day and backing x to win the 7 o clock, haven't you got your head around that yet?

It's about backing a 3-1 shot at 7-2 or laying a 7-2 shot at 3-1 so over time you can beat the market. When you know you can you have to optimize your staking to maximise the advantage you know you have over the market. That's all there is to it so you can now go away and work out how you're going to do this and forget all about tipping and making a set amount each day.

I've told you how to win, although i'm sure the majority know they have to beat the odds. Have you never looked at threads on the football forum with people backing a team at 2 when greater odds are available elsewhere? That's where you should start your quest.

ok you told me how to win but how do i know if any odds or wrong. you still have to pick the winner really whatever. or if trading the player/team who is gonna lead

If you can beat the odds losers don't matter you'll have your share of them but you know, over time, you'll come out ahead. You're thinking on a short term/daily basis not over the long haul. I'm off here now.

paulme - you don't have to pick the winner you just have to find 11/10 about the toss of a coin and repeat 1000's of times!!! If you were getting 11/10 about a coin toss you wouldn't care if you were right or wrong on an individual toss would you?

You guess the odds the same as they do, and then kid yourself that one day your boat will surely come in, except that it won't.

Well I'd suggest you concentrate on betting on tennis only for the next year and see how you get on. Watch as much as you can. Read the posts of those on the tennis forum who clearly know their stuff. Keep a note of every bet you have the reasons why you thought that particular bet was a good one.
There's a start for you.

that is bound to hurt the bank balance, if I loss £200 am ready to kick the tv out the window, but then again I have a staking plan and I stick to it,tell me this anyone welcome to comment,I often wondered about this, do any of you have lets say a lay bet for liability of £50.00,and the horse gets beat, would you then increase your bet for the next race and so on, or be like me and keep things the same, comments please

You're obviously on the right course. Just keep doing what you're doing.Stay disciplined and put as much time as you can into studying those sports you like.
There's no magic formula. Just hardwork, discipline and experience.

I know this is your thread and i don't want to ruin it but yesterday you got out of jail and then, straight after, firmly locked yourself back in again! You are now in a worse position and, whilst i wish you success, can't see how you're going to profit, unless you just get extremely lucky, from this with the way you stake added to how, after a loss, you just jump straight onto the next race with, seemingly, no regard of the odds. You need to stop the ridiculous stakes which, after one loss, make you go straight on the chase and operate within a staking plan that keeps you in your comfort zone. You may be a decent judge but nobody can tell if you lose your entire balance after four or five reverses! Good luck today.

Well that is the worst run I have had in many years of gambling Fortunately I am still showing a decent overall profit I will now take a short break and try again in the near future
Please do take note - always gamble with what you can afford - never risk more than you should
