help to find an old game title - 1980s ?

my little girl is doing a school project and i'm trying to remember something that would help her

to cut along story short when i was a kid we had a computer game which was stategy turn based, the screen was split into 4 sections and each player or computer player controlled a little diff coloured alien that had to plant crops, or dig for ore etc before your score came at the end of the turn

i cannot rem the name of the title, the problem is we had an atari console, a commodore 16 and later a comm 64

i've tried looking through some listings of old games but nothing rings a bell, can anyone recall this weird little game please?
