With the tax now making it more profitable to be a shelf stacker, how many people will move.

At the moment b daq is sh*t on liquidity, but surley this will improve.

The way i see it is you may be getting a value bet at the time however somewhere down the line it may work out that the 2.06 that you got has actually worked out at 1.80

Thoughts?

I've been looking at Betd*q today and have found the horse racing markets more liquid than I expected.

Only a fraction of the Betfair volume, of course, but far from a lost cause.

if you are doing simple things like laying in football matches
I tend to lay the underdog on away games  where appropriate
you usually have no problem but probably not at the best price
however if you end up paying 40 percent of your winnings to betfair
then the answer is simple

I had a lay on there for a week prior to the champ league final (at a higher price than betfair) and it wasn't touched.

Not high enough mate. Next time allow for commish + PC1 + PC2 and the forthcoming PC3. Laugh

That might trigger a bot or two.

I was miffed as the bet was lying there like a unconcious fat geordie slapper for a week.

Laws of nature

The daq will become like a shark pool without prey.

The sharks would just start attacking each other

Without losers in betting exchanges winners are nothing.

The problem is for winners that betfair have figured this out.

What a nightmare Laugh

Losers can't lose unless there's money in the markets.

Losers will go where they can get a bet on.

If that becomes betquack then that's where they'll go.

Unlikely to happen quickly but I can see a slow shift over to the purple place if they market themselves well.

Wow as we stand 22:51 29/06/11 Volumes matched on Nadal V Murray

Betfair: Matched: GBP 50,127
Purple: Matched: £77,523 Love

Looks promising.

I'd become lazy, as I thought betfair would eventually see sense and get rid of the PC.
Clearly that won't happen now and I'll be using the purple place whenever I can.
I've also uninstalled betfair poker and self excluded myself so they can kiss goodbye to the thousands a year I usually pay them in rake.

"fed up being a loser - winners can get 40% better odds at purple" -  Thats probably their next advert.

Matched figures can't be compared between Betfair and ****. £2 at 10.0 over there is £20 matched. Here it's £4.

In a 2 horse race like a tennis match, the different ways they calculate the figures won't make so much difference.

Just looking at the history, it looks like someone has had 50K @ 1.52 on Nadal.

It does look like that.  Put some money up there as well now on the lay side

And £1000 matched @ 1.01 here is £2000 compared to £10 over there

Joe, £1000 matched at 1.01 over there is displayed as £1010 matched not £10.
