does anyone have any advise on gambling in norway with foreign sites? i read on the internet that i cant use my credit card to deposit onto betfair or any other foreign gambling sites is this true?
any advise i would be grateful as im going to work over there soon and will be paid locally and using local banks

No problems using online gambling sites.
The only restriction, as you say, is that you can't deposit to these site with credit cards issued by banks or other financial institutions based in Norway.
Normal bank transfers is ok though, but it will take a couple of days before the money is through.
You can still use cards from your country(UK ?) to deposit and hopefully withdraw to.
Taxing on online gambling is a grey zone, so I would recommend withdrawing any winnings to your current UK card.
