Over the past few weeks I have noticed an additional penny being added to stakes on some marketss. Initially I thought it was a fat finger issue and ignored it, or was too focused on an event to bother checking for just one penny. But it continues to happen.
For example yesterday horseracing:
Back £200 @ 12 Lay £200 @ 11
Once the lay bet had been matched I find that my P/L column shows £200 profit on the selection and 1p loss on the field.
This appears to be randomly spasmodic, or at least, I have only noticed it 5 or 6 times over as many weeks.
It seems to happen mainly on horse racing but that may be because I place more bets on these markets.
I've completely ruled out fat fingers because it takes an additional three key strokes to add the penny.
I've ruled out the possibility of some strange rounding function in the software that I am unaware of because when I check in 'My bets' the extra penny is shown as staked.
Maybe I am missing something as I don't often read the forums nowadays. Can anyone shed any light?
I wasn't aware of that. Thanks. Not a satisfactory explanation though if that is what they say. I have only ever bet in GBP. This appears to be a relatively recent phenomena. If I lay £200 on a selection I am laying exactly £200. That is what I keyed in. But 'my bets' say incorrectly that I layed £200.01

Baggers is right. You bet in GBP, but your counterpart may bet in a different currency and on rare occssions it's impossible to match both sides in exactly a round figure do to currency exchange rates.
