Yes, I've had it a bunch of times. Which sites did you have a problem with?

I've had it with betsson and pinnacle amongst others.

Every time I deposit on pinny they block the card and I have to call them.

Don't use betsson, as they have the habit of confiscating player funds.

i think the problem is the card provider. iv tried to deposit on pstars, FT and here

It often happens for gambling transactions for security reasons, especially if the amount involved is quite high.

Anyway, I deposited £500 using a new card a few months ago, and that got declined, one phone call to the customer service dept confirmed everything was ok and it was me who was genuinely requesting it, I tried again, and it went through fine

More than once I (not NW) have been blocked on a specific use, quick call to card people to confirm it was kosher and all ok.

Card providers can do same if for example you go abroad and don't tell them, it's all about purchases coming up as "risky" or "unusual" and computer says no.
