How do you multiply/divide and take away using Excel, I'm trying build a spreadsheet analysing some data from the sports markets here but never really used Excel before.

So you click on a cell, input a number - and then I'm lostLaugh

Adding is straight forward using the 'sum' function but more importantly I can't work out how to Multiply?

Any Excel boffins here? all help appreciated for an Excel dummy.Happy

cheers

For multiplication use the * symbol, for division use the / symbol.  For example......

            A        B        C
    1        5        10        =A1*B1
    2        50        10        =A1/B1

Whoops.

Make that.....

            A        B        C
    1        5        10        =A1*B1
    2        50        10        =A2/B2

Top2rated you really should get a subscription service going[;)] top man,  I used to work as a Youth Leader so MS Office Applications wre never of use - except Word.

Also, I'm going to try and work out how you've somehow managed to Turn your image upside downLaugh

Very true Rocket too, thanks.

Yes Froggy. but it's much quicker, easier, if I just post a question rather then ringing someone up, sounding like a fool, and hearing them trying to explain the answer.
