spreadbetting is a lot of fun imo.
im tired of betting with sp*rtingindex. if we would have the markets here on betfair, we would have much better odds.
what do you think? are ppl too stupid to understand spreadbetting - so that there would be no liquidity? i guess betfair would put the markets up, if there would be betting.

It's completely different business.

Different regulator (FSA).  Need for customers to maintain margin, credit accounts etc.

Much more than just putting a few spread markets up and seeing if customers use them.

But we have spread markets on betfair. I was hoping for more markets and liquidity. [:)]
What you are writing makes no sense to me.

Asian Handicap markets suffer from a lack of liquidity spreads will be the same

What spread markets are there on Betfair ?
Report scandanavian_haven June 23, 2011 3:31 PM BST
Lol, people have enough trouble understanding how Asian Handicap work not to mention the poor liqidity.

Betfair just call them  range markets IanP. Corners bookings etc. Trouble is they've never promoted the range markets and because they don't go inplay they have little appeal to spread bettors or punters

im betting a lot on the booking "range" = spread markets. liquidity is ok on big matches.
if betfair promotes the spreadbetting, perhaps liquidity would increase.

betfair used to offer 1% commission on AH markets but liquidity was still poor. They have major competition in those markets so, basically, give up on them.

Spreadfair tried it and failed. The markets ended up just being seeded by them and ended up barely being any different from a standard spread firm.
