I have just emailed these about what would happen to a long term bet that I had with them as they are closing their sports section next month. They replied that all bets would be void after next month! Now this bet was placed at 7/4 and the best price for the selection is now Evens. I stated that I would accept a mid point closure, but not my stake back and if they refused the mid point then I wanted the bet to run and paid out in the proper manner. They are still running a finicial service, so are still around as a company.

Surely they can't just take a bet and then half way through offer the stake back?

If they are based in the uk, they are regulated by the Gambling Commission, and therefore all bets are legally binding. Simply tell them that you will expect the bet to be settled once the outcome is determined, if not you will see them in court. Easy as that, really.

Turtles I told them just this and yes they are a U.K based company, always been a set of rsoles in the way they treat their customers, they even had to send their staff to charm school because of the way they spoke to customers on the phone, website crashes and stalls every day and they only ever wanted crack addict gamblers limiting you to peanuts after any slight good run, if you knew what you were doing or not. Then they wonder why they have had to shut down their sports operations.
